BIPOC Community Media Development Summit Reynolds Journalism Institute PILOT: Publisher Take

The Multicultural Media & Correspondents Association (MMCA) is an official funder of Elevate Dayton. Nathan Dillard, Elevate Dayton’s publisher, serves on the MMCA Advisory Board and is a paid contractor of MMCA through his digital consulting agency LunarX Agency

The Multicultural Media and Correspondents Association hosted its BIPOC Community Media Development Summit at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. that featured special keynote and panel discussions with leading practitioners and experts who provided a roadmap for unleashing the power of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) media to fuel the equitable and community-centered revitalization of neglected communities.

The Donald W. Reynolds Institute's Inclusive Media and Economies Project has teamed up with MMCA and Dynasty Consulting to help BIPOC publishers tap into community development funds, and then use those investments to test new revenue strategies and build more sustainable business models. Join us for an update from the pilot project publishers about their efforts, lessons learned and achievements to date.
