Elevate Dayton partnering with the Dayton Weekly News

Elevate Dayton is excited to announce an official partnership with the Dayton Weekly News.

The partnership includes sharing content across print and digital platforms. Elevate Dayton will also become the online home for the Dayton Weekly News. Looking down the road, the two organizations plan to offer joint advertising opportunities for their readership via their print and digital mediums.

"Since coming back to the Dayton Weekly News this past fall, my mission has been to continue being a leader in providing the city of Dayton’s urban community with excellent content about our community," said Donerik Black, publisher of the Dayton Weekly News. "It is our mission each week to provide information that educates and informs our African American community.”

Since 1993, the mission of the Dayton Weekly News has been to provide Dayton’s African American community with a better view of itself. Each week the Dayton Weekly News delivers news and information about health and wellness, education, business, community events, religion, sports and entertainment.

"This is a positive step in the right direction for both publications," said Zack Frink, editor-in-chief for Elevate Dayton. "This partnership will help both of us further establish our outlets in the Dayton area."

Elevate Dayton shares stories about nonprofits, entrepreneurs and minority communities who normally do not receive media coverage. Residents can also share their perspectives through written stories, videos, podcasts, photo galleries and more.
