Get to know the new CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton

Tara Marlow is excited to be serving as the new executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton. She sat down with Elevate Dayton to discuss her background and goals for the organization.

Marlow is married and has two children. Her husband is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant, her son is an American Airlines pilot and her daughter is a health care worker.

Marlow has years of experience in executive administration and education. "Prior to this role, I actually was an executive office manager at a charter school in Washington, D.C.," she said about her previous position.

Marlow is already hitting the ground running with the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton. "Through our partnership with Montgomery County, CareSource and Cincinnati Bell, we're bridging the digital equity divide," she said about an initiative she's helping lead early in her tenure. "That is a phenomenal opportunity that has come towards Dayton."

Expect Marlow to lead the organization by fully leaning into its mantra. "The slogan I was given in coming here was 'Onward and upward,'" she said. "I am looking forward to transitioning the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton onward and upward into a 21st century club."
