Downtown workers, residents, and visitors who have long clamoured for an Indian restaurant in the center city should soon be getting their wish. Gulzar's Indian Cuisine has been busy over the last several weeks with construction of its new location at 217 N. Patterson Blvd., across from the Dayton Dragons' Day Air Ballpark and adjacent to downtown's Flyboys Deli and Winan's Chocolates + Coffees. Gulzar's first location is in Richmond, Indiana, and owner A.J. Singh told Dayton.com that there have been about 10 to 15 Daytonians making the drive for years to eat there. Gulzar's is shooting for an end of January opening, and will offer a lunch buffet and full-service dining in the evening, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
