The Dayton Q+ Youth Center Project Announces Official Launch Event on May 10, 2023

Dayton, Ohio – The Dayton Q+ Youth Center Project, a grant-funded initiative focused on promoting health equity, personal agency, autonomy, and increasing access to resources for LGBTQ+ youth in Montgomery County, Ohio, is excited to announce its official launch event on May 10, 2023, at The Brightside in Dayton, Ohio.

 

Doors open at 5:30 pm, with a short program beginning at 6:15 pm. The launch event is designed to introduce the community to the Q+ Youth Center Project, raise awareness about the center's mission and goals, and accept donations to support the center's operations.

 

The evening will feature delicious food from Salt Block, Wheat Penny, and Sprouting Dreams, alongside interactive entertainment from Gem City Selfie Museum, Haus of Sequins, and Tiffany Clark from The Mural Machine. Guests will have the opportunity to meet members of the Working Group, which is led by Public Health-Dayton & Montgomery County LGBTQ+ Health Alliance and Q+ Youth Center Project Manager, Will Foster. Fundraising activities will include a silent auction with exciting items donated by local businesses and organizations.

 

As the official media partner, Elevate Dayton will cover the event and amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ youth, their families, and community leaders. This partnership will provide a platform to showcase the stories, experiences, and perspectives of the LGBTQ+ community, helping to raise awareness and create a more inclusive environment in the Dayton area.
