K.Carter is a hip-hop artist from Dayton Ohio. He is the creator of the “For Dayton By Dayton” festival, and he is dedicated to bringing success and love to the city of Dayton. K. Carter takes pride in his unique and diverse audience, which includes listeners from all walks of life. In addition to having listeners across all races, religions, and age groups, he’s also bridging the gap between today’s hip hop and the old school hip hop that he grew up listening to.

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio in 1994, also known as the birthplace of funk music, Mariah J spent her adolescent years deeply rooted in church, dance, and her youth choir. She attended Stivers School for the Arts, where her focus heavily centered on dance and creative writing however, her love for singing never left. While receiving her Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership with a focus in Youth & Community Engagement from the College of Education & Human Services at Wright State University in 2012-2016 she was still singing in her black campus choir, In His Presence Gospel Choir. She traveled with this group all over the city and state and performed and shared stages with gospel artists such as Amante Lacey, Isaiah Templeton, Jonathan McReynolds, Tonya Baker, and Timothy Reddick. She is also a music producer and spiritual herbalist apprentice under the direction of Empress Karen Rose.
